Social justice and peacebuilding

Women and justice Project

29-Apr-2024

A workshop was implemented on April 29-30, 2024 in the city of Port Sudan. The target number was 15 young women from the displaced shelter centers and from the city, in order to create social cohesion between the components of the tribe and the displaced. The workshop discussed social justice, and a group therapy session was conducted with a psychologist to reduce the effects of post-traumatic stress. The workshop worked, through group discussion, to indirectly reduce hate speech among displaced women in shelters and highlight the differences between community members in access to services, equality, rights, and duties. These differences contribute to fueling conflicts. Focusing on the concept of social justice and its necessity in building peace.
