As part of the Kanon Barah Program, the Barah Center for Legal and Democratic Studies organized psychosocial support sessions on 18 and 19 December for women survivors of war and internally displaced women in the areas of Golo and Deribat, Central Darfur State, with support from the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA).
The sessions provided a safe space for women to express their feelings and experiences, where participants listened to one another and shared their pain in an effort to ease the severe psychological impacts left by the war.
These gatherings aimed to convey a simple yet powerful humanitarian message: You are not alone.
The sessions also embodied the values of sisterhood and human solidarity, reflecting Barah Center’s belief that psychological support and community solidarity are essential first steps toward healing, recovery, and resilience for women affected by conflict.
